Monitor the department ensuring all customers needs are being met
General warehouse duties such as, but not limited to: loading and unloading of trucks, make sure all merchandise is labeled with a destination using a scan gun properly, removing any damaged merchandise and take to repair shop, stage merchandise in correct area within the warehouse in a timely fashion, assembly/disassembly of merchandise, keep warehouse area clean, removing trash from work area, sweeping work area, inspect merchandise for functionality, damages, defects, and imperfections, loading customer merchandise, obtain customer signatures on waivers, knowledge of correct ticket procedures, gathering empty boxes and breaking them down, sweeping warehouse, move items off-loading belts, account for all scheduled items for next day delivery, checking for shortages through auditing the manifest
Enforce all rules and regulations
Ensure excellent customer relations
Knowledge of employment and safety procedures
Give advice and assistance when needed
Extensive knowledge of department procedures and expectations
Direct merchandise to other departments within the warehouse
Maintain a clean department
Other duties as directed by management

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Ability to repetitively lift heavy merchandise of 50 lbs; ability to communicate effectively with team members; excellent knowledge of proper tie down and merchandise handling procedures; ability to train employees on proper procedures in a positive way; knowledge of employment and safety procedures; positive attitude when working with both internal and external customers; supervisory experience preferred. Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Driver's License required with no more than 2 traffic violations or 1 chargeable accident within the past three years.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
Heavy Work: Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs constantly to move objects.
Work Environment: Occasionally works in hot and/or cold temperatures and occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
