Description:
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS FOR CASHIER: Ability to repetitively use arms, hands and fingers; computer experience required; basic mathematical skills required; attention to detail; ability to communicate effectively and positively with internal and external customers. Knowledge of employment and merchandise handling procedures.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
Heavy Work: Lifting up to 10 lbs occasionally.
Work Environment: Indoor climate controlled environment.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED FOR CASHIER:
- Handle cash, checks, credit cards and financing; count till (cash) bags at the beginning and end of each shift, verifying that all transactions were done correctly and till balances at the end of each shift.
- Maintain the front office appearance by keeping everything neat and clean.
- File the daily invoices.
- Call the bank on all out of state checks and temporary checks to verify that the checks will clear.
- Call the finance company to verify information on customers account (balance due, account balance, available credit).
- Copy and match all finance approvals.
- Process special orders and handwritten tickets.
- Take account payments for fabric checkouts or other misc. payments.
- Perform any other duties as directed by management.
