The Production Technician plays a vital role in our manufacturing process, overseeing the chemical stripping, plating, and production of high-quality components. This position ensures all parts meet precise standards while supporting the efficiency and safety of production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Operations: Set up, operate, and monitor stripping and plating tanks to ensure seamless execution.
• Quality Control: Conduct detailed inspections using tools like micrometers and calipers to verify parts meet exact specifications.
• Maintenance: Maintain tank operations by managing additions, cleanliness, and chemical storage.
• Processing: Skillfully prepare and process parts through stripping and plating lines, including hard chrome plating.
• Equipment Handling: Use hand tools, measuring instruments, and fabrication techniques to support production.
• Safety: Enforce and follow established safety guidelines to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaboration: Assist other technicians and materials clerks to streamline workflow and operations.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Skills:
  • Strong math skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and critical thinking abilities.
• Language Proficiency: Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Capable of lifting 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Comfortable working around caustic and corrosive chemicals.
  • Vision requirements include 20/20 vision (with or without corrective lenses).
• Safety Compliance: Must safely wear PPE, such as dust masks, steel-toe boots, and safety glasses.
