The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Operations Team working on Data Center, Vehicle Manufacturing or General Build Construction projects.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring success and seamless execution of construction projects. You are responsible for assisting the Management Teams with all technical aspects of project management, coordinating between various stakeholders, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Technical support includes participation in construction planning and design, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing. You'll also develop, implement, and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents in the Prolog database, material status reports, process requests for information, and manage meeting minutes.
Location
You can be located anywhere in the US, if you are highly willing to travel to our client projects on a long-term basis.
Responsibilities
- Project Execution: Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule. Provide technical support for construction effort including participation in construction planning and design; interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of design conflicts; constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing. Develop, implement and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents.
- Budget Management: Assist with monitoring expenditure, track financial progress, and ensure that all costs remain within the allocated budget. Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement strategies to optimize financial performance.
- Resource Management: Foster a collaborative work environment, providing guidance and support to team members. Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities, including subcontractor planning and administration, and work assignments. Interface with all on-site departments as required to resolve problems and ensure quality of construction in support of overall project schedules.
- Risk Management: Represent the company, project, and/or department during A/E, client, and project management meetings.
- Technical Support: Serve as the key technical person on projects, potentially responsible for one or more small to medium-sized projects.
Qualifications
- 4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and related experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of similar construction engineering experience.
- Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc., and an in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units.
Ideally, you'll also have
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- The ability to implement innovative and effective management strategies to enhance project and employee performance.

- Established technical knowledge, encompassing construction and engineering processes, procurement, project controls reporting, and contract management.
- Proficiency in budget management, financial forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and adapt to changing project requirements.
