Design Manager

Overview

Haskell's Design & Consulting Team unites architecture, engineering, and consulting professionals from across industries and geographies. Our diverse team serves markets including food and beverage, consumer products, aviation, healthcare, civil infrastructure, and Federal projects. As a team member, you'll work on impactful projects that challenge your creativity and expand your skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Application of Knowledge: Directs all design aspects on projects, ensuring conformance with project criteria and standards.
  2. Client Management: Acts as primary client interface, manages client criteria, and maintains positive relationships.
  3. Construction Support: Monitors design responses, assists in prioritizing responses, and supervises installations when needed.
  4. Change Management: Manages scope changes and documents all scope modifications.
  5. Financial: Develops budgets, monitors project financials, and manages outside consultants.
  6. Scheduling: Develops and maintains project schedules, coordinates staff, and resolves scheduling conflicts.
  7. Strategy: Participates in proposal strategies, marketing, and policy development.
  8. Leadership: Supervises personnel, ensures contractual requirements are met, and participates in quality and corporate initiatives.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • 10+ years in design, with 5 years as a lead designer and 3 years in design management.
  • Knowledge of related design disciplines and management experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Certifications:

  • Professional registration preferred.
  • Client and change management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design software.
  • Experience in project management, budgeting, scheduling, and conflict resolution.
  • PMP certification is a plus.

Physical & Environmental Requirements:
