Position: Quality Control Inspector
$500-720+/paid weekly
A produce quality control inspector ensures that fresh fruits and vegetables meet established standards for quality, safety, and appearance. They examine produce at various stages, from receiving to shipping, and work to identify and address any defects or deviations from specifications. The warehouse associate will check inbound shipments and product in stock in the warehouse.
Inspection: Inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments of produce for quality and condition.
Compliance: Ensuring products meet USDA standards and other relevant regulations.
Grading: Grading produce based on size, shape, color, maturity, and freedom from defects.
Defect Identification: Identifying and documenting defects like bruises, blemishes, or spoilage.
Documentation: Creating and maintaining inspection reports, often using specialized software or tools.
Communication: Communicating inspection findings to relevant personnel, such as warehouse managers or production supervisors.
Corrective Action: Working with teams to implement corrective actions to address quality issues.
