The Data Technician will track metrics for business needs within the Graduate College. To gauge the College's performance against strategic benchmarks, the data technician will develop new processes for monitoring and reporting research articles published by graduate students; external, competitive research fellowships awarded to students and postdoctoral fellows; training grants; immediate and longterm alumni career outcomes; and the impact of graduate education on research funding to the campus. Each of these benchmarks will require gathering, combining, and crossvalidating data from multiple sources, maintaining datasets, and creating reports with high validity.
