Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Strategic Partnerships Memberships Manager to lead, coordinate, and manage all membership-related strategic partnership activities within the Accreditation Bodies Office. This role is key to aligning SayPro's strategic goals with a broad spectrum of internal departments and external stakeholders, ensuring robust partnership governance, growth of membership networks, and high-impact collaboration across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive strategic partnerships framework for membership engagement across 50+ operational units.
  • Lead quarterly and monthly planning sessions with various departments including:
    • Communications, Customer Relations, Executive & Council Support
    • HR, ICT, Knowledge Management, Legal, Policy & Strategy
    • Organisational Performance, Business Enablement, Finance
    • Climate Change, Infrastructure, Utilities, Recreation & Parks
    • Social Development, Disaster Management, Safety & Security
    • Education, Urban Planning, Housing, and Environmental Services
  • Foster high-level collaboration with public, private, and international accreditation bodies.
  • Oversee member acquisition, retention, communications, and stakeholder mapping.
  • Coordinate knowledge-sharing events, workshops, and cross-sectoral forums.
  • Ensure compliance with strategic partnership reporting, audits, and membership performance metrics.
  • Manage and motivate a multi-disciplinary team of membership officers and coordinators.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Strategic Management, Development Studies, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a strategic partnerships, membership management, or stakeholder relations leadership role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of policy development, accreditation bodies, or municipal operations.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and report-writing skills.
  • Experience coordinating large multi-stakeholder initiatives across public or private sectors.
  • High-level understanding of issues related to social impact, sustainability, urban management, and community development.
