Director of Operations

Vyve is a leading broadband Internet provider serving largely non-urban communities in 16 states. A technology leader in the cable and broadband sectors, Vyve Broadband offers an extensive range of broadband, fiber connectivity, cable television and voice services for commercial and residential customers. Residential services include high-speed Internet with speeds up to Vyve Gig, all-digital, high-definition video and fully featured digital voice. Vyve Business Services provides optical Ethernet, PRI, and hosted voice services to the business community. Vyve serve areas of Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming.

At Vyve Broadband, our Directors of Operations are essential leaders ensuring our field teams deliver reliable service and exceptional customer experiences. As a Director, you'll oversee technical operations across your region including field technicians, plant operations, and headend systems while driving performance, safety, and system reliability. You'll collaborate across departments, lead system upgrades, and mentor managers and supervisors to support team success and company growth.

What you will do

• Lead and support local Technical Operations Managers and Supervisors, ensuring service excellence and a strong team culture
• Oversee daily operations including plant reliability, node health, service quality, and HFC/headend functionality
• Coordinate capital projects, construction, system upgrades, and maintenance to support performance and customer satisfaction
• Partner with NOC, Dispatch, Sales, and Customer Care to ensure efficient workflows and aligned goals
• Provide hands-on leadership in emergencies, outages, or system events
• Review performance metrics and promote continuous improvement across all operations
• Manage headcount, hiring, training, and team development, supporting career paths and technical skill progression
• Engage with vendors and contractors to ensure material availability, cost efficiency, and quality standards
• Monitor and ensure compliance with FCC, NEC, NESC, and Vyve safety and performance standards

• 10+ years in operations management, with at least 5 years in broadband or cable/internet HFC environments
• Experience managing large technical teams and cross-functional collaboration
• Strong knowledge of HFC networks, DOCSIS standards, headend systems, and broadband technology
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to develop talent and promote growth through coaching and mentoring
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical management tools
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within your region
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred

• Full-time, with availability for regional travel, emergencies, and occasional on-call leadership support
• Includes system visits, headend evaluations, plant inspections, and staff coaching in the field
