Description:

Apex Systems is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to work onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.

Summary:

The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will support the Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) and focuses on developing and refining build and installation plans for the aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, revise, and review build and installation plans for the Reengine Program.
  • Create detailed work instructions for installing components, systems, and assemblies.
  • Author and maintain production and manufacturing process documentation and training materials.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, current, and compliant with industry and customer standards.
  • Analyze data to identify discrepancies and drive process improvements.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and modifications to assess product impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to define content needs.
  • Maintain data in web-based and online tools.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members during project execution.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating professionalism and integrity.
  • Meet production schedules and deadlines by proactively seeking information and direction.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100D and company quality management system requirements.
  • Resolve technical issues affecting performance, cost, or schedule.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Apply analytical thinking to problem-solving and innovation with speed and agility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Chemistry with 9+ years of related experience, Master's degree with 7+ years, or PhD with 4+ years. ABET accreditation is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in aircraft wiring, structures, or systems installation and planning.
  • 3+ years of experience in aircraft modifications preferred
  • Experience conducting producibility reviews and developing installation work instructions.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for complex technical issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.

Preferred Tools & Program Experience:

  • GOLDesp, CATIA V5, IVT, PowerPoint, Manufacturing Readiness Assessments, Program Manufacturing Plan, EBOM/MBOM reconciliation, MANTIS, ADO, CMPRO

Shift Information:

  • This position is for 1st shift and may require flexibility to support program needs. Typically will require a 9x80 work schedule.
