Concrete Project Manager

One of the area's most highly respected Concrete Contractors is seeking a Concrete Project Manager to join their growing team. This is an award-winning, financially strong company with along history of excellence in delivering high-quality concrete work for commercial and light industrial projects.

The Concrete Project Manager provides overall leadership to ensure successful planning, coordination, and execution of all concrete-related scopes of work. This role requires expert knowledge of concrete construction methods, scheduling, and quality control, as well as the ability to lead crews and subcontractors to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Estimating during preconstruction to develop accurate budgets and schedules for concrete scopes
• Read and interpret structural drawings, formwork layouts, and rebar placement details
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all phases of concrete work, including site prep, formwork, reinforcement, placing, finishing, and curing
• Mentor less experienced project staff in concrete-specific construction techniques and project management best practices
• Build strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and concrete subcontractors to secure future project opportunities
• Oversee procurement of concrete materials, reinforcement steel, formwork systems, and finishing tools; verify compliance with specifications
• Resolve issues related to drawing interpretation, structural details, and on-site challenges
• Manage and review all concrete-related submittals, RFIs, change orders, and cost tracking
• Ensure timely and accurate project billing, cost projections, and quantity takeoffs for concrete scopes
• Create, maintain, and update project schedules with a focus on critical concrete milestones and pour sequences
• Enforce strict quality control measures for mix designs, placement techniques, and finish tolerances
• Monitor site safety practices to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
• 5+ years' experience managing commercial/light industrial concrete projects from start to finish
• Strong knowledge of concrete mixes, placement methods, curing techniques, and finishing standards
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and manpower efficiently
• Familiarity with ACI standards, concrete testing procedures, and formwork systems
• Strong leadership and communication skills
