What You'll Be Doing:
Serve as Engineer of Record on structural design projects
Provide expert guidance on structural systems, design standards, and code compliance
Communicate directly with clients and serve as a technical liaison throughout all project phases
Lead pre-design services: planning, programming, data gathering, conceptual design, and system selection
Deliver complete structural construction documents: drawings, specifications, calculations, and cost estimates
Author technical reports based on studies, structural analyses, and condition assessments
Provide quality control and peer reviews of work prepared by other engineers
Support construction phase services including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals/shop drawings, and site visits with reporting
Coordinate with architectural, MEP, and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of structural design
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development across the structural group
What You Bring to the Team:
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field
Licensed PE or SE in Oklahoma (or ability to obtain licensure within 12 months of hire)
15+ years of progressive experience in structural engineering, including vertical building structures
Deep knowledge of structural systems, analysis methods, and construction materials
Proficient in structural design software and comfortable working in Revit (preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with both design/bid/build and design/build delivery methods
Experience working with federal agencies and knowledge of applicable design codes and standards is a plus
Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits and project coordination
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple priorities
Essential Physical Functions:
Sit/stand at a desk or computer
Walk, stoop, stand and move around job sites
Travel and occasional site visits requiring stooping, standing, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
Frequent communication via phone, video, or in-person meetings
Ability to focus on digital and paper-based information for extended periods
Some project-based travel may be required
