Job purpose

Plan, organize, and coordinate production operations and resources, ensuring the achievement of goals, including HSEQ

Main responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the beverage production process from raw material handling to finished product packaging
  • Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and strategies to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Optimize production workflows to enhance efficiency while maintaining product quality
  • In collaboration with stakeholders, design and develop new products while improving existing ones.
  • Champions GMP initiatives as part of continuous improvement
  • Maintain a Quality Assurance system that ensures beverages meet quality and safety standards, and adhere to regulatory requirements
  • Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Build and lead a high-performing production team, providing coaching and mentorship.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage staffing, training, and development needs within the production department
  • Manage production budgets, including cost control and resource allocation.
  • In collaboration with the Plant Engineer, ensure equipment maintenance, repairs, and upgrades are carried out as necessary.
  • Ensure adequate inventory levels of raw materials and supplies.
  • In liaison with the leadership team, set and review departmental Budgets, Objectives, Goals, and SOPs.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare regular production reports, including performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions accordingly

Requirement

  • Bachelors degree in Food Science, Industrial Chemistry, Biological Sciences, or a related field
  • Registered professional engineer
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in beverage research, development, and production management.
  • In-depth knowledge of beverage production processes and quality control.
  • Good collaboration, analytical skills, and consumer market awareness
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards in the beverage industry
  • Proficiency in using production management software and tools
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
