Welder I

This entry level position completes assigned routing welding tasks under general supervision in order to perform fitting and welding work on compression and production equipment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person
• Work with SMAW, GMAW, SCAW, and SAW welding processes
• Work independently as well as in a team environment focusing on teamwork and unity
• Exhibit cooperative skills with others on the job
• Layout structural and piping components using hand tools
• Position fixtures, jigs, pin wheels, rolls, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Specific Skills

• Ability to perform basic welding techniques
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Ability to interpret customer's specifications and applicable industry codes and standards
• Possess basic computer skills, communication skills, and customer service skills

Education & Experience

Minimum: High school diploma or GED and 0 - 2 years related work experience or an equivalent substitution for education of 4 - 6 years related work experience
