Inventory Control Specialist

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring discrepancies, and preparing reports. This includes balancing stock record receipts, tracking inventory errors, and ensuring compliance with established internal control procedures.

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure inventory accuracy and control
  • Prepare inventory reports
  • Track inventory errors and make appropriate corrections/recommendations
  • Research and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Record and maintain control of all inventory items
  • Count material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock
  • Compare inventories to office records
  • Prepare a list of depleted or defective items
  • Compile information on receipts or disbursements of material and equipment
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: None

    Skills Knowledge and Expertise

    • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
    • Associate's degree in a related field (preferred)
    • 1-3 years of relevant experience (required)
    • Intermediate word processing and typing skills (required)
    • Basic spreadsheet skills (required)
    • Microsoft Certified System Engineer training or equivalent (preferred)

    Physical Activities: The job may require standing, walking, climbing, balancing, lifting, and using hands. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

    Environmental Conditions: The warehouse is not temperature-controlled, and the noise level is moderate.
