Overview:

Join us as a Senior Physical Substation Engineer, where you will spearhead the design and execution of Extra High Voltage substations (230kV-765kV). In this hybrid position, you will combine your technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, guiding junior engineers and ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of safety and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design of EHV substation projects, focusing on physical layout, protection, control systems, and equipment specifications.
• Act as a technical authority, mentoring engineering teams and providing insights on design standards and best practices.
• Ensure all technical deliverables align with client needs, industry regulations, and quality protocols.
• Communicate directly with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to clarify project scopes and address technical challenges.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively across multiple projects.
• Develop scoping documents, engineering calculations, and technical specifications for substations ranging from 230kV to 765kV.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to junior engineering staff, ensuring quality assurance in engineering outputs.
• Lead coordination across disciplines and stakeholders for integrated project execution.
• Conduct internal reviews to maintain compliance with quality management systems.
• Participate in strategic planning and development initiatives for engineering standards.
• Contribute to business development through proposal writing and client presentations.
• Provide technical oversight in the selection of equipment and materials.
• Act as the responsible engineer in charge (EOR) for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with technical integrity and regulations.
• Support the growth of engineering staff by fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

Qualifications:

To qualify, candidates must possess:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with EHV substation design, both open-air and GIS.
• Skilled in creating detailed engineering documents, including diagrams and plans.
• Proficient in engineering calculation studies for high-voltage infrastructure.
• Familiarity with protective design elements and regulatory compliance.

Pay Range:

Minimum: $119,829
