POSITION OVERVIEW
Operating under the administrative oversight of the Senior Program Director or designee, the Foster Care Coordinator provides leadership to an assigned team of foster care staff and is responsible for ensuring program compliance with all applicable licensing, contractual, and regulatory requirements. The Coordinator oversees the design, implementation, and delivery of high quality foster care services, including recruitment, training, certification, and ongoing support of foster families.
This role provides comprehensive oversight of foster home case management activities, initial and annual update certification processes, and compliance documentation, ensuring foster homes remain licensed, supported, and aligned with regulatory standards and best practices. The Foster Care Coordinator ensures that recruitment and training efforts are effective, responsive to community needs, and support the development of safe, stable, and nurturing foster homes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Minimally Required - Preferred
Education - Bachelor's Degree in social services related field with at least 9 college credit hours in family focus, individual functions and interactions, child development, sociology, social work or closely related field. - Masters Degree in behavioral or social science, social work, or related field
Experience - One (1) year of experience in a leadership position with supervisory responsibilities.Bachelor's Degree : Four (4) years experience working with children and families in a child welfare or social services setting.Master's Degree : One (1) year of experience working with children and families in a child welfare or social services setting - Two or more years of experience in a leadership position with supervisory responsibilities.Three (3) or more years of experience working with children, families, and adults in a child welfare or social services setting.
