Position Summary
We're seeking an entrepreneurial, hands-on Controller to do the accounting of the financial operations of our growing restaurant groupcurrently three thriving concepts in the Oklahoma City area. This role is far more than back-office accounting; you'll be a strategic partner to the ownership group, providing the financial insight and operational discipline that fuel smart growth.
From managing daily cash flow and vendor relationships to leading budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, you'll ensure our restaurants operate profitably and efficiently. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment where collaboration, accuracy, and initiative are valued as much as great food and hospitality.
Core Responsibilities

- Execute all core accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and vendor management, ensuring meticulous general ledger accuracy across all entities.
- Prepare and deliver timely, accurate monthly financial statements, specifically including P&L reports by location and consolidated cash flow summaries, alongside detailed performance analysis for ownership review.
- Actively track and analyze key operational performance indicators, such as food, beverage, labor, and prime cost, providing insights to ensure all restaurant locations meet their margin and profitability goals.
- Ensure the accurate and timely filing of all regulatory and tax obligations, which encompasses sales, mixed beverage, and payroll taxes, as well as managing crucial business license renewals.
- Develop, implement, and continuously maintain robust internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures necessary to safeguard company assets and significantly streamline overall accounting operations.
- Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the ownership group, providing essential input to support high-level business strategy, critical operational decisions, and future expansion planning.
- Actively partner with restaurant managers to provide them with actionable financial insights and lead process improvement initiatives designed to enhance operational efficiency and improve reporting accuracy.
- Oversee strategic cash management, including making recommendations for partnership contributions and distributions, and handle the new and renewal management of all contracts and leases.

Minimum Qualifications
The requirements listed below are the minimum degrees, certifications, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required of this position.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
- Minimum 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within multi-unit restaurants, hospitality, or food & beverage environments Sage Intacct (preferred), QuickBooks, or equivalent ERP system.
- Toast All-In-One Restaurant POS and Payroll Service or similar third-party processor and BevSpot

- Comprehensive understanding of all core accounting principles for accurate financial statement preparation and general ledger management.
- Knowledge of the procedures and best practices for Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), payroll processing, bank reconciliation, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Detailed knowledge of preparing and analyzing the primary financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements), especially in a multi-location and consolidated environment.
- Knowledge of key restaurant operational metrics and cost drivers, such as food cost, beverage cost, labor cost, and Prime Cost calculation and analysis.
- Knowledge of designing, implementing, and monitoring internal controls and financial policies to prevent fraud and ensure asset safeguarding.
- Advanced analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, explain variances, and model scenarios for profitability and expansion planning.
- Expert-level proficiency with relevant accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or industry-specific systems) and highly advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for reporting, data manipulation, and analysis.
- Meticulous accuracy in all data entry, reconciliation, and general ledger maintenance to ensure reliable financial records.
- Exceptional ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial managers and ownership, tailoring the message to the audience.
