Forklift Operator

Our client in the automotive industry is looking for forklift talent to join. Hours are 7:00AM-3:30PM CST Monday - Friday.

Job Summary: This position will work safely to move product throughout the warehouse where the individual is located. The person in this position will understand the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail resulting in error-free work, will demonstrate the ability to process information with high levels of accuracy, utilizes specific approaches and tools for checking and cross-checking own and others' outputs. This position will accurately gauge the impact and cost of errors, omissions and oversights and learn from mistakes and apply lessons learned.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Adhere to company policies and procedures
• Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), conducting pre-operational equipment checks, and reporting any safety hazards or incidents.
• Ensure that products are handled and stored in a manner that preserves their quality and prevents damage.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff, supervisors, and logistics teams to coordinate the movement of materials and meet operational goals.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by verifying and documenting incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Utilizes light warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks and carts.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Forklift experience required.
• Valid forklift certification, preferred.
• The ability to pass a background check and clear results
• The ability to maintain a drug-free environment as this is a safety sensitive position.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: This is a physical position and requires frequent walking, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling and lifting up to 50 pounds or more while utilizing team lifting or equipment. This position works in a warehouse environment and may be subject to loud noises, weather elements such as extreme heat or cold, dust particles and moving equipment at all times.
