The Senior Director of Marketing Advertising and Events will manage the organization's marketing, advertising, and brand strategy to increase awareness, engagement, and support for the mission. They will also direct the activities of the Events department to ensure they are successful and financially sound. The candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Senior Director will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing and advertising program encompassing brand management, digital and traditional media, public relations, and multi-channel campaigns. The Senior Director will work closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, Development team, Events team and other departments to ensure messaging and initiatives align with organizational priorities. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position after the introductory period, including health, dental, life, and short-term disability.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred). Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in marketing, advertising, or communications, including supervisory experience; nonprofit experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in digital marketing, media relations, and brand management. Proficiency with marketing and analytics platforms, design tools, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong leadership and project management skills, with proven ability to lead a team and manage complex initiatives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to craft compelling messages across diverse platforms. Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making ability. Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders including donors, board members, community partners, and media outlets. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and in a fast-paced environment. Deep commitment to the mission and values of the RIVERSPORT Foundation.
