Job Description Under supervision of the Director for Childhood Hunger and in coordination with the Food for Kids Support Manager, the Summer Feeding Assistants are responsible for traveling to and conducting monitoring visits at Summer Feeding sites to ensure compliance with federal program requirements, and the review and processing of meal services for the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), including initial review of reports, contacting sites for corrections, inputting the reports into a database, and filing reports as directed. A Day in the Life Government-based Programs Summer Food Service Program (Summer Feeding) Completing federally mandated monitoring and follow up visits of SFSP sites and compiling reports required by the Oklahoma State Department of Education as directed by the Food for Kids Support Manager. Assisting with training of SFSP sites and/or delivery of materials Reviewing submission and accuracy of daily meal services from all Summer Feeding sites utilizing data software Link2Feed; upkeep of tracking spreadsheet and compilation of meals served by site and in sum for reports and reimbursement Maintaining ongoing communication with sites regarding any necessary information Providing additional assistance to support staff working on the Summer Feeding Program and other projects in the Childhood Hunger Department, as needed Child and Adult Care Food Program- After School At-Risk (Kids Cafe) Completing federally mandated monitoring and follow up visits of CACFP sites and compiling reports required by the Oklahoma State Department of Education as directed by the Food for Kids Support Manager. Assisting with training of CACFP sites and/or delivery of materials Reviewing submission and accuracy of daily meal services from all CACFP sites utilizing data software KidKare; upkeep of tracking spreadsheet and compilation of meals served by site and in sum for reports and reimbursement Maintaining ongoing communication with sites regarding any necessary information Providing additional assistance to support staff working on the CACFP other projects in the Childhood Hunger Department, as needed

Required Qualifications

* Earning a high school diploma or GED.

* Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets organizational standards.

* Commitment to advancing the mission of ending hunger.

* Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.

* Ability to complete a background check, motor vehicle record review, drug screening and physical assessment as required for the role.

* Must be able to comprehend and follow all State Department of Education requirements regarding the Summer Food Service Program

* Must be able to work efficiently in a high pressure environment.

* Phone and face to face communication and problem solving skills are important to the success of this position

Safety Sensitive Designation

This position is classified as Safety Sensitive under Oklahoma law. Employees in safety sensitive roles perform duties where even a momentary lapse in concentration could result in injury to themselves, others or cause environmental harm. Your Environment

Some exposure to outdoor conditions and extreme temperature changes (summer heat, winter cold, rain, sleet, snow). Possible exposure to dust, chemicals, gases, fumes, smoke, noise and vibrations. Work typically performed in a combination of environments: office, field locations and while traveling in a car or fleet vehicle. May require scheduled participation in a rotating on call program and, on a limited and infrequent basis, response to unscheduled operational needs. This role requires extensive travel (75-100%) regionally allowing return home nightly. May involve occasional travel across our service area resulting in overnights. Work outside of the employee's regular schedule may be required at times based on business necessity and must be documented in accordance with established scheduling and timekeeping practices. All hours worked will be recorded and compensated in compliance with applicable federal, state and local wage and hour laws.

Physical Demands

Maintain a stationary position for extended periods while performing work in an office, field location or vehicle setting. Operate vehicles safely by monitoring surroundings, reading signage and maintaining awareness of road conditions. Coordinate movements to manage vehicle controls and respond promptly to changes in traffic or environment. Perform tasks that involve coordination of multiple limbs and fine motor activities such as handling, grasping and maintaining steadiness for moving objects. Move objects weighing up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently, using appropriate moving techniques or mechanical aids as needed. Transition between stationary and other positions as needed during the workday. Access work areas and vehicles in a manner that aids job tasks, which may involve adjusting body position in limited spaces. Respond promptly to environmental cues and maintain focus during complex tasks. Auditory attention to recognize signals, alarms and spoken instructions that serve as key safety and maintenance indicators. Exchange information clearly in person or via devices in dynamic environments, including those with background noise. Maintain concentration and alertness for extended periods to ensure safety and task accuracy. Follow safety protocols, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required by Environmental, Health and Safety policies.
