Position Overview:
The Store Manager will serve as both a brand ambassador and a dynamic business leader, dedicated to delivering elevated experiences for both clients and the internal team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the Store Manager to build and develop a high-performing sales team, ensuring the store is equipped to provide exceptional service at every touchpoint.
The Store Manager will drive the success of the business by coaching and leading a diverse team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and client-centric excellence. In partnership with the Store Manager, they will leverage key business insights to inform strategy and performance.
Business Attributes
- Ability to meet and exceed store sales plan
- Assist Store Manager in staffing the store and developing a high-performing, best-in-class team
- Demonstrates strong business acumen, utilizing all tools/support available within the framework of the business, partnering with the Store Manager to drive topline results
- Act as a brand ambassador in the local market/mall to drive brand loyalty and business
- Understands and uses all retail systems and reporting tools
- Maintain, support, and enforce company operations, standards, and practices, ensuring compliance and clear communication of all pertinent information to the team.
- Develops a culture of trust, integrity, and excellence by modeling professionalism and setting clear performance expectations
Leadership & Development Attributes
- Coach, develop, and motivate the sales team to meet performance goals through ongoing feedback and support, escalating performance concerns to the Store Manager.
- Lead the sales team by example through sales efforts and customer service on the salesfloor to increase profitability. Commitment for delivering results; actively aware of personal and store metrics and achieves goals
- Model and enforce dress code compliance
- Ensure that customer and employee experience are prioritized over workload or tasking
- Demonstrate confidence when leading the team and managing the store. Takes initiative; has a high level of ownership and accountability for results, both personally and as a team
- Contribute to long-term growth by recruiting high level candidates and maintaining and developing a store team of associates able to meet service and sales goals
Client Experience
- Cultivate an inviting atmosphere that makes every client feel genuinely welcomed, engaged, and deeply valued
- Develop a client engagement mindset with the purpose of building long lasting relationships
- Leverage data, tools, and key metrics to drive business results while increasing client retention and cultivating long-term loyalty
- Provide a personalized and positive in-store experience by delivering excellent service, taking a solution-oriented approach to client inquiries, and efficiently handling all transactions and returns
- Demonstrates leadership by playing an active role on the salesfloor
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2+ years of sales management experience in luxury retail or related field
- Bachelor's degree in a similar field is preferred but not required
- Ability to analyze selling reports, identify business trends, and react quickly to the needs of the business
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a diverse team
- Strong understanding of luxury fashion, trends, and visual merchandising
- Ability to work retail hours including days, nights, weekends, and special events
- Bending/stooping/kneeling required
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
