Join us in shaping a smarter, healthier future for pets everywhere.Role OverviewThe successful candidate will be responsible for development and optimization of visualizations, implementing robust data checks, and ensuring accuracy of KPI/metrics at Clarus. This role is critical in supporting the analytics needs of product, sales, finance.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive analytics discussions with leadership and cross‑functional teams to build consensus on business and technical definitions of KPI/metrics.Create reliable and efficient queries transforming and extracting large data sets for dashboarding and data visualization.Build expertise in metric definitions and calculations to ensure accurate and proper interpretation of core business metrics and drivers.Partner with the cross‑functional teams to drive projects and processes that contribute to improvements in data integrity.Manage a small team of analytics engineers/analysts.Identify opportunities to optimize reporting processes, data integration, and automation and partner with the broader team to execute on enhancements.Use data visualization and analytic tools to grasp business insights, and to create consumable data visualizations and recommendations that influence business outcomes.Analyze key performance metrics to identify root cause of performance issues.Regularly communicate performance trends and improvements to senior management and leadership ensuring they can talk to service‑specific performance.Ensure all programs have clear, quantifiable outcomes and measures that drive improved performance.Build and manage analytics pipeline processes using dbt or similar tools.QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.At least 7 years of experience in analytics.Clear understanding and experience implementing OKRs.Experience working with Databricks, Spark, and Azure data services.Proficiency with NoSQL and SQL databases.Proficiency in data modeling, ETL/ELT, and modern data stack tools such as DBT.Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Proficient with data visualization tools (i.e. PowerBI).Knowledge and experience with Python a plus.Experience with CI/CD pipelines a plus.Ability to travel once per quarter for 3‑4 days, within the US.BenefitsComprehensive full medical, dental and vision InsuranceBasic Life Insurance at no cost to the employeeCompany‑paid short‑term and long‑term disability12 weeks of 100% paid Parental LeaveHealth Savings Account (HSA)Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Retirement savings planPersonal Paid Time OffPaid holidays and company‑wide Wellness Day offPaid time off to volunteer at non‑profit organizationsPet friendly office environmentCommuter BenefitsGroup Pet InsuranceOn‑the‑job training and skills developmentEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)#J-18808-Ljbffr
