The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Industrial Maintenance. Power plant or energy storage experience is beneficial, but not required. This position reports to the Field Service Manager, or another senior management personnel that the Vice President of the Company may designate.The remote position with a preference for candidates on the East Coast. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm Local Time. Regular evening or early morning (outside normal working hours) may be required, for example to coordinate with our global headquarters based in China, or as other business circumstances dictate.This is a field‑based position that requires frequent travel and on‑site presence at various projects and customer locations, which may vary based on business needs. This position is expected to travel up to 75% of the time, and will generally work 2‑weeks on‑site followed by 1‑week remotely from the employee's home office location.Visa sponsorship is not available.What you'll be doing:Work independently and as a team to drive maximum technical support to Energy Storage customers.Document site visits and product analysis to enable continuous improvement of troubleshooting procedures, product installations, and product robustness.Lead the execution of system commissioning.Actively engage in field dispatches as needed by key customers.Participate partner product training programs and be certified to service them.Actively engage in technical discussions with inverter and EMS partners to troubleshoot.Partner with other teams to ensure delivery of an exceptional customer service, as needed.Investigate, respond to and generate reports on field incidents involving Trina batteries.Conduct basic and advanced log analysis on batteries and inverters.Conduct warranty service work as needed; andAll other projects and assignments, as assigned by Management.Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a field service role or equivalent.Experience as a technician or engineer is required.Prior solar or renewable energy industry experience preferred, or similar.Proven track record of completing tasks with minimum supervision.Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.Must have the ability to travel up to 75% of the time, as needed.Why Trina StorageTrina Solar and Trina Storage are global leaders in smart solar products and energy storage solutions.
