Chief Scientific Officer / VP Biology – Incubation-Stage BiotechWe're partnering with a leading VC firm to build a new biotech company at the intersection of protein engineering and next-generation biologics . The company is in incubation, with strong financial backing and a platform that has parallels to innovative approaches.We're seeking a CSO / VP Biology to establish and lead the scientific strategy, build the biology function, and guide the company through early discovery and development milestones.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute the scientific vision for the biology platformLead discovery biology, protein/antibody engineering, and assay developmentBuild and manage an early team of scientists, including external collaborators and CRO partnersDrive translational strategy to move programs from concept to preclinical validationPartner with the board, CEO, and investors on long-term R&D strategy and milestonesIdeal ExperienceDeep expertise in biologics drug discovery (antibody, protein, or conjugate engineering)Proven scientific leadership, ideally from biotech/pharma or VC-incubated venturesExperience taking programs from discovery to IND-enabling/preclinical studiesEntrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to be both strategic and hands-onStrong scientific reputation and network in biologics and protein engineeringThe OpportunityThis is a rare chance to be a founding scientific leader , joining at company creation stage.
