This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the law firm, including performing administrative services, supporting the legal team, and ensuring the firm remains in compliance with state legal regulations. The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Communicates with clients, counsel, and court representatives
Manage legal documentation and correspondence
Coordinate appointments
Manages all correspondence and recordkeeping
Complete administrative duties such as greeting clients, making copies, answering, and directing phone calls
Investigate case facts to ensure all relevant information
Identify appropriate materials, legal articles, judicial decisions, and laws for assigned case attorneys
Qualifications and Skills:
Organize, analyze, and compile information
Collect and record exhibits
Develop written statements
Work with attorneys to draft documents and letters
Prepare motions and pleas for filing in court
Track and organize files from beginning to end
Two-year degree or equivalent certification
Must know MS Office
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Experience in consumer law and knowledge of commercial transactions preferred
1-3 years of working experience as a legal assistant preferred
