Job Description & Requirements Specialty: MRI Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 07/13/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Title MRI Technologist I Location Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Schedule / Job Type Contract | Full-Time | Days | Onsite Key Responsibilities Under immediate to general supervision, delivers specialized radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations to aid medical staff in diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions. Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician-ordered procedures. Utilizes specialized radiologic equipment and techniques to perform a diverse range of diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures in accordance with established scope of practice guidelines. Conducts post-procedure review to confirm all required elements are completed, documented, and that technical quality meets department protocols and applicable accreditation standards. Transfers images and data to appropriate archival systems, enters technical findings, and prepares studies for physician reporting. Performs operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfecting, and user maintenance per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines. Required Qualifications Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program with emphasis in a cardiovascular specialty, OR graduate of a JRCERT accredited educational program with emphasis in a radiologic technology specialty. Must meet applicant eligibility requirements for MRI Certification; certification must be achieved within 12 months of hire date. Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Core knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, radiologic technologies, and associated terminology. Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, follow instructions, and consistently report to work as scheduled. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and exercise sound judgment in a variety of care settings. Preferred Experience / Skills Associate's degree or higher in a related field. Experience working with pediatric and/or adult patient populations in acute inpatient, outpatient, or diagnostic care settings.
