Directeur F&B H/F - Experimental Chalet Val d'Isère

The Experimental group, famous for introducing cocktail bar culture to Paris in 2007, redefined hospitality with innovative cocktail bars and boutique hotels across Europe and beyond. Over the years, destinations have expanded frommajor European capitals such as Rome, Paris, and London to more seasonal locations like Comporta, Ibiza, or Menorca in the summer, and the ski resorts of Verbier and Val d'Isère in the winter. Each of our unique destinations blends design, creativity, and exceptional service, with exciting new openings on the horizon.

The Experimental Chalet Val d'Isère, opened in 2024, is a winter paradise with epic proportions. This new 4-star hotel located in the French Alps features 113 rooms, two restaurants, a cocktail bar, a spa, and meeting spaces.

As the Director of F&B, you are responsible for the coordination and operational excellence of all F&B outlets (restaurants, bar, room service, etc.). Your role is both strategic and operational, at the heart of the customer experience.

Your responsibilities include:

• Supervising the different heads of departments and supporting them in their daily challenges;
• Ensuring good communication between the different F&B services to maximize the cohesion of the entire F&B division;
• Being responsible for the relationship of the F&B division with the other divisions of the establishment, Accommodation, House Keeping as well as the technical service and/or the SPA;
• Ensuring the smooth operation of the different points of sale;
• Supervising the correct application of hygiene and safety rules and ensuring their respect on a daily basis;
• Participating in the management of orders and purchases.

Human Resources Management

• Managing, coordinating, and leading the teams in the dining room, kitchen, and bar;
• Supporting teams in resolving disputes;
• Participating in the recruitment of different employees, in their training and promotion;
• Encouraging each other's initiatives to increase professional fulfillment;
• Stabilizing and retaining teams through targeted and relevant actions;
• Working in close and permanent relationship with the HR department to resolve disputes and learn to manage daily situations;
• Ensuring the follow-up of schedules and payroll management using internal tools.

Customer Experience

• Creating a welcoming environment for customers and instilling a culture focused on customers;
• Handling customer complaints and providing adequate solutions;
• Handling customer comments, sharing them with the team, and implementing actions;
• Ensuring customer loyalty and making sure that teams are able to know regular customers and their habits;
• Ensuring that each employee masters the service standards of the group.

Legal & Security

• Supervising the cleanliness of the premises and paying attention to potential health risks and violations of regulations;
• Ensuring that all legal health and safety requirements are up to date;
• Ensuring that the establishment's regulations are well respected and applying sanctions if necessary;
• Ensuring that the regulations evolve in collaboration with superiors if the need arises.

About You

• You have significant experience in management in a dynamic and seasonal F&B environment.
• You are recognized for your ability to lead, motivate, and grow your teams.
• You have a sense of detail and know how to create a memorable customer experience.
• You are comfortable with schedule management, operational tools, and commercial animation.
• You have a good command of French and English, both written and spoken.
